Sandstone Porch

Alston, Cumbria

 

This sandstone porch in Alston  was constructed using local split-faced stone.

 

The client opted for the quoins, sills, lintels and mullions to have a sandblasted finish as well as punch holes. The finished pointing was left recessed to highlight the detail of the stonework.
