Old Blacksmiths Barn Conversion

Newbiggin, Eden Valley Cumbria

 

Originally an old blacksmiths, this single storey barn conversion was built using red sandstone salvaged from the building.

 

Located in the small village of Newbiggin in the Eden Valley, clients Alex and Maggie wanted to make good use of as many original materials as possible.

 

As well as the external walls being constructed with stone, they also opted for a stone fireplace as a backdrop to their new log burning stove.
